Rs. 500,000 fine for selling bottled water above MRP

The Avissawella Magistrate’s Court has imposed a fine of Rs. 500,000 on company for selling a 500ml bottle of locally bottled drinking water for Rs. 100, exceeding the maximum retail price (MRP) of Rs. 80.
