Newswire reports that Colombo High Court Judge Buddhika C. Ragala on the 29th rejected bail applications for Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne, known as Harak Kata, and two other defendants. Rupavahini News also reports that the court rejected those applications, while Ada Derana, Ada Derana (සිංහල), Ada Derana (தமிழ்), Hiru News (සිංහල) and Hiru News (தமிழ்) report the rejection of applications involving Harak Kata and others.

Newswire and Rupavahini News report that the court also rejected lawyers’ requests to release two additional defendants. Newswire says the judge declined to consider the applications and release requests while an appeal remained pending.
